Ministry Description

The goal and vision of A Heart Set Free is to encourage, equip and empower believers to walk in truth and the freedom that is ours as we experience the love of Father God, as we apply the cross of Jesus Christ to our lives, and walk in the fullness of the Spirit. Freedom is something that each of us desires, but few really experience, yet it is our birthright as children of God.

Many who know Jesus Christ are struggling with life’s challenges. Frequently we hear believers ask questions like,
• “Is this all there is to being a Christian?”
• “What is wrong with me? Why can’t I experience the ‘abundant life’ that Jesus said I could have?”
• “Why do I feel guilty all of the time?”
• “My past mistakes are ruling my thoughts. Things will never change.”
• “Can God use me? I don’t feel worthy.”
• “How can God love me? I’m such a screw up?”
• “What happened to my life? I’m not where I thought I’d be.”
• “Why can’t I be happy?”

We desire to help the believer walk in complete freedom at home, in their work, and in all relationships. Setting Hearts Free is what we’re about! When we are set free, and rightly aligned in the kingdom, then the kingdom of God advances through us!

The message of A Heart Set Free is exciting and life transforming. Lives are changed as the truth brings revelation into our hearts.

We are Healing House Network Members of Restoring the Foundations and we use the Restoring the Foundations (RTF) Integrated Ministry approach. We have seen tremendous life changing freedom in our own lives and in the lives of those that we’ve ministered to. We are available for the RTF Thorough Format Ministry or the Issue Focused Ministry.

We are available to lead the Healing and Deliverance Seminars and the Issue Focused Activation Seminars.

Speaking:

Lee & Cindi Whitman have a passion to see the Body of Christ walk in the freedom, peace, and joy that is available to them in Christ, and to experience a passionate relationship with their Father God. Together, they have over 50 years of ministry experience. Through the struggles of marriage, family, and ministry, God has taught them much about the ways of His Kingdom. Tired of experiencing church as usual, Lee & Cindi offer a powerful blend of life changing insight into the Word and the Ways of God, coupled with an open and relational style of teaching that makes these deep truths easy to grasp.

Cindi Whitman is a gifted communicator of the things of God. She has a deep desire to see people experience the freedom that is available to them in Christ. As she pours over Gods Word, God gives her amazing insights into His Word and His Ways. She then has an energetic teaching style that takes these revelations from God’s Word and makes them relevant to everyday life. Cindi teaches from her life experiences as a wife of 30+ years, the mother of three grown children, and now as a grandmother, and having served on the staff of two churches as the head of women’s ministries and other lay ministry positions. Cindi has been teaching and speaking the truth of God’s word for 16 years. Men and women alike relate to and are blessed by the ministry that God brings thru her. Restoring the Foundations ministry has greatly impacted her life personally and the lives of those that she has ministered to.

Lee Whitman is the kind of guy that Joe the plumber would not only be able to relate to, but might actually want to hang around. He’s passionate about helping people experience and walk in the wonderful grace of God. He brings 16 years of experience as a counselor to his teaching, as well as many years of his own learning in the school of hard knocks. He communicates the powerful truths of God’s Kingdom, mixed with down to earth application from real life experiences, frosted with a touch of humor. Lee worked in a car dealership for 6 years, served as an associate pastor on the staff of two churches, and was on the staff of a counseling ministry for 16 years. He has also recently picked up some experience selling beer and cigarettes for Jesus while working in the market place. Restoring the Foundations Ministry has greatly impacted Lee's relationship with Father God and he is walking in more freedom than ever before and seeing the fruit of the RTF ministry in the lives of those that he and Cindi minister to.

Individual Ministry

God has given believers in Jesus Christ everything they need to live the Christian life through Christ living His life in and through them. 2 Peter 1:3 say, “seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through our true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence“. In the process of living the Christian life, however, there are many factors that can hinder, and in some instances, even cripple someone’s ability to experience the freedom, peace, and joy that Jesus came to give. During Individual Ministry Lee & Cindi help the ministry recipient discover what is hindering their walk with God, where it began in their life, and then lead them through the necessary steps to bring true and lasting freedom.

These hindrances fall into four areas.
- Sins of the Fathers and Generational Curses.
- Ungodly beliefs.
- Woundings in the soul or spirit (Soul/Spirit Hurts)
- Strongholds and demonic oppression.

Normally ministry deals with only one of these areas at a time, producing temporary freedom, but because the other areas are not dealt with at the same time, the struggle returns leaving the person feeling even more defeated. By using an integrated approach that minister to all four of these areas at the same period of time, true and lasting freedom results.

Our God is a healing God. In fact one of the names He is called in the Bible is Jehovah Rapha, Our God Who Heals. The pain of past hurts can rule and run our lives. Their effects can be so strong that we feel like we might never recover. God, however, is a healing God, and He wants to heal our deepest pains and trauma if we will allow Him. By bringing our pains and hurts to Him, He not only heals the hurts, but draws us to Himself so we can experience His incredible love, which changes us. That is what happens during Individual Ministry at AHSF.

Marriage Ministry
“And the two will become one flesh.” It sounds so simple, doesn’t it. Get married and oneness will automatically happen, right? Although oneness is God’s intent for marriage, becoming one is not as simple as just getting married. There are many factors that can and usually will keep a couple from experiencing the oneness that marriage provides.

Cindi and Lee conduct the Marriage Ministry together, whether meeting with a couple or with the husband or wife separately. This provides those being ministered to a balance of both the male and the female perspective in the ministry setting. They bring not only their personal experience from 30+ years of marriage into the ministry setting, but they bring valuable insights into the Word and the Ways of God that they apply to everyday life and marriage. They also bring something learned from walking through some very tough times in their own marriage: HOPE!

“We are convinced”, Lee and Cindi will often say, “that the struggle going on in your marriage is less about what is going on between you and your spouse, and more about each of you individually and your relationship with God.” Marriage crisis is often a tool that God uses to draw the husband and the wife to Himself, so that He can meet their needs. As couples have their needs met through their relationship with God, they are then and only then able to be the husband or wife that God desires for them to be.

Marriage Ministry at AHSF deals first with the issues of the heart and your own personal relationship with God, then it adds solid teaching and some powerful techniques to make your marriage all that God created marriage to be.
